Happy Holidays from 1995! There is so much I love about this doll from her nostalgic face, to her over the top dress, she screams childhood Christmas to me!
Here is the African American version of her that also came out with the Christie face mold.
I love the little dioramas they used to create for their promo photos of these older dolls!
Here she is in her green and red glory. Her theme says "holly berry" to me as noted by the holly that decorates her Victorian style collar and the silver printed holly on her skirt.
She has a beautiful belt that reminds me either or a pointsettia or a star that you would put on top of your Christmas tree.
We've seen these before and we'll see them again, lol.
She comes with earrings, a necklace and a ring!
When I got this doll out of the box, I was so surprised by how much nostalgia I felt and how much I loved her 90s inspired "over-the-topness" with her dress. She truly feels like a Holiday doll and more specifically a Christmas doll, with those holly berries on her collar. I just love her and she might be my favorite one yet. :)
xoxo Farrah
She's so extra! Now we're getting into 90s go big or go home designs. I love the holographic sequins and the green eyes (90s blue eyes creep me out). I think she would look even better with an updo.
ReplyDeleteHaha, yes, a lot of them have green eyes and it's so fun to see that! None of the ones I had when I was younger had green eyes. She really is super EXTRA and I love her so much!
DeleteI'm curious, how large is the poster that came with this doll? Is it about the size of a standard photograph, or is it closer to a frameable wall art size?

I believe it's somewhere in between a 5 x 7in and an 8 x 10in poster. I'll check tomorrow and get back to you.
