Happy Belated St. Patrick's Day!

This post is a little belated (of course, lol), but wanted to wish you a Happy St. Patrick's Day!  It felt like a normal day for me, no special foods, no Guinness, and I forgot to tell the girls to wear green as they were getting ready for school, but better luck to me next year!

Hope you're all having a wonderful March so far.  I know the world, as a whole, has been a stressful place to rest our thoughts in over these past few years, but hoping you are all finding comfort in your doll hobbies as I do in mine.

A Cozy Cocoa Stand with the Wellies

A few years ago, I purchased the Wellie Wisher's Hot Cocoa stand when it went on sale on American Girl's website.  It's a pretty cute little set with some nice miniatures and it was fun to get the girls dressed up to go outside and have a warm treat!

The set came with these two larger pieces; the stand and a bench.
It also came with mugs of cocoa, cookies, whipped cream and more as you can see below.

These items below came in a separate Wellie Wishers Christmas Eve "cookies and milk" set, but I added them to this set as I think they went so well together The yellow mug of hot chocolate (look at those marshmellows!) came with the Our Generation outfit I'll show you in a sec.

Here's Emerson ready to serve up some treats!

The back of the stand has little shelves to store the cookies and mugs and there's also a little drawer for the acorn "money".

Kendall is dressed up in the "Snow Much Fun" outfit.  I love the pastels!

Earmuffs used to be my jam back in the 90s. :)

Emerson is wearing some Wonderous Wishes PJs from 2019 (I think). :)

And her's Bina wearing a cute Our Generation Girls outfit called "Cocoa Cozy".  This is one of my favorite outfits from OG!

Overall, this was a very cute little playset to set up and take photos with.  My daughter really enjoyed it when she was younger.  As I make an effort to "thin the [doll] herd", I think I will be passing this set on to my niece.  I think it will have many more years of fun!

Do any of you collect any of the Wellie Wishers or their playsets?

February Birthstone Barbies

Happy February!
Two Barbie lines I've been collecting over the past year are the Barbie Birthstone Collection Collectible dolls (released in 2002) and the Barbie Birthstone Beauties (released in 2007).    I did a post last year showing my January dolls, so this month, I wanted to showcase my February dolls.

The first one is the gorgeous Birthstone Collection - February Amethyst doll from 2002.

She is simply beautiful.  I chose the AA version because she was my favorite of the three choices and I think this purple shade looks so pretty with her skin tone.

Here are the other two versions:

I also have the AA version of the Barbie Birthstone Beauty - Miss Amethyst as well.

She's gorgeous as well; I don't ever use the word "bae" in real life, (except to annoy my preteen daughters lol), but the Steffie mold, in my eyes is my bae in terms of vintage faces!

I love how they look together.  Even though they are two different doll lines, I think they go well with each other.  Perfectly purple.

Up to that point, here are all of the ones I had collected.

I also had the lighter skinned Birthstone Beauty doll that I found at a flea market and after I cleaned her up, she looked just as pretty as the other two!

Goddess face mold.

These two have the Steffie face mold.  I love how different they both look even though it's the same facial sculpt!

This line has been so much fun to collect.  I've just been going slowly, collecting about 1 per month as they can be quite pricy on eBay.  I hope to continue to share them all on the blog each month!

What is your birthstone??  Mine is March/aquamarine :)

Happy Valentine's Day! Valentine Barbie 1997

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today I wanted to share my Valentine Barbie from 1997 that I recently purchased from eBay earlier this month.  This is the first Valentine themed Barbie I have in my collection!

She comes in a very simple slim line box without very many decorative elements.  On the back of the box are two cutout Valentines to keep in your collection or share with a friend. (They poems are pretty cut and dry, lol.)

Out of the box, she comes with the doll, a brush and a little heart-shaped box of chocolates. (No stand included.)  She's on the twist n' turn body with the 90 degree arms and bend and click knees.

Her dress is a pretty pattern of purple, red, pink and silver hearts.  She has a net-like fabric for the top of her dress and a purple ribbon bow placed to the side of her hip.

Her hair looks amazing right out of the box!  It's straight and shiny with no glue or sticky texture at all.

She has a matching ribbon headband and pink "pearl" earrings with a matching ring.  I love it when dolls come with earrings and rings!

She has those Barbie pumps we all know and love; this time in a lovely shade of hot pink.

Here's a close up look at her beautifully molded box of chocolates!

She has the Christie face mold with brown eyes (with a pink accent!) and soft red lips.

She is absolutely adorable!  I can't believe how much I love this beautiful doll.  I am really starting to love and appreciate Barbie's from the 90s and early 2000s.  They're just so well made and their clothing and accessories just don't compare to what we have nowadays.  I will cherish her!

I hope you guys are doing well and enjoyed this review.

Best wishes for a very Happy Valentine's Day filled with love, hope and happiness.

See you soon!
