Holiday Barbie 2011 - Happy Dolliday Countdown to Christmas!

Hi again!  In this post we are taking a quick look at the 2005 Happy Holiday Barbie. 

She's the first one that is dressed in this lovely green and gold theme and it's a refreshing break from the red! 

 During this particular release, they also had a gorgeous African American version of her with the Goddess face sculpt, which I really wanted to get, but she was a bit too pricy for my budget this year. 

She's wearing a one-shoulder dress in green fabric lined with a metallic gold fabric.  The dress sort of drapes around her in a lovely way, but the actual dress is a mermaid style gown, tighter around the hips and flaring out towards the feet. She's on a Model Muse body with five points of articulation. 

She has an amazing gold threaded embroidered pattern across the bodice and top of her skirt with little stones placed within the design. 

She's wearing long golden earrings and gold shoes. 

She comes with red painted nails. 

She has the gorgeous Mackie face scuplt, who by now, I've determined is my 2nd favorite Barbie sculpt after the nostalgic Superstar face sculpt. 

I just love that green and gold! 

Overall, she doesn't disappoint.  I think her hair is pretty, her face and makeup are gorgeous and I love the color scheme they went with this year. I just love her!

Holiday Barbie 2012 - Happy Dolliday Countdown to Christmas!

 Hi everyone!
Today we're taking a peek at the gorgeous Holiday Barbie from 2012. 

She's a classy lady and I'm excited to have her in my collection! 

In 2012, they released 3 lovely versions of this doll. 

The coveted brunette one, the AA doll with the Goddess face sculpt and the blond doll, which is the one we are reviewing today. 

This black-haired one was a Kmart exclusive and she's a bit more expensive on the secondary market. 

Her she is in her full length glory.  She's on the Model Muse body and has 5 points of articulartion. The gown is composed of a gorgeous red patterned fabric with a tulle underskirt layer. She has a statement bow tied up in the front. 

This is such a beautiful fabric they used! 

She also comes with a beautiful silver necklace with nice molded detail. 

Her earrings are silver and dangly.  Not too elaborate, but at this point, I'm just happy she has them! 

Her shoes are open-toed red shiny heels. 

She's another one with the Mackie face sculpt.  Gorgeous brown smokey green eyes with clean lower lashes, a hint of sparkle on the brow bone and cherry red lips complete her gala look.

Overall, I am really impressed with this gorgeous Barbie!  I love her dress and accessories as well as her stunning face.  I love the design of her dress and different fabrics they used. She a new favorite for sure!

I wish her hair was a little more...something; maybe and updo would've looked nice.  Other than that, she's a stunner for sure!

Holiday Barbie 2013 - Happy Dolliday Countdown to Christmas!

Hi everyone!
Sorry for the multiple posts in one day (that's a contrast to how my past few years of blogging have been, haha), but I'm trying to catch up on my Barbies so I will have them all done by Christmas!
Today we're peeking at the 2013 Holiday Barbie, which was also the 25th Anniversary doll in the Holiday Barbie line. 

Here's a look at her box. You can see she's the 25th anniversary (of the holiday line), but they don't seem super excited about it, lol. 

They also came out with a gorgeous AA version with the Pazette facemold (stunning!!). 

Here she is in her full Snowflake Queen glory. 

I was surprised to see that she did NOT come with a stand, unfortunately. :(

Furthermore, her hair is a little #basic if you ask me.  I was hoping for a bit more glamour or pizazz with this being an anniversary year. 

The bodice is really beautiful and features a snowflake design that lays on top of the silver material underneath. 

Her shoes are pearly white pumps and they were very difficult to put on her feet and did not stay on very easily.  I'm a little disappointed with that as she IS an anniversary doll. 

She has the Mackie face sculpt, which we will start to see a lot of, however this one looks a bit different as her eyeshadow is very dark and smokey. She has beautifully painted lips and long dangly silver earrings. 

Nobody does a smokey eye like Barbie. 

Overall, I think this doll is very beautiful, but a bit disappointing for being a 25th year Holiday Barbie anniversary doll.  I was expecting, at the very least, a stand, a more elaborate hairstyle, and a few more accessories, but she's pretty and her dress sparkles amazingly in the light so I'm happy to have her!  The AA one is high on my list to collect as well, though, because I like that one even more!

Holiday Barbie 2014- Happy Dolliday Countdown to Christmas!

Today we're taking a look at the stunning red and gold themed Holiday Barbie from 2014.   I'm really impressed by her and think she's really beautiful! 

Her box is pretty basic and has the same red and gold theme as the doll herself. 

They also released an African American one with the Goddess face sculpt as well as an auburn-haired Kmart exclusive version with the same sculpt as the blond Barbie.  

One of my favorite things about this barbie is her beautiful golden blonde hair.  It looks so shiny!

This doll looks very festive and "Christmas-y" to me.  I love the different fabrics and patterns they used as well as the overall design of the dress itself.  

 

The gold bow is so perfect!  I think she is definitely one of the best ones we've seen so far (going from the most recent until now). 

She is on the Model Muse body with 5 points of articulation. 

Her shoes are open-toed red heels, which are cute and stay on her feet nicely. 

Her statement necklace is quite detailed and elaborate showing different poinsettia shapes and beaded detail. 

This is the first Barbie we've seen so far with Generation Girl face sculpt.  

This scuplt is one of my favorites and looks very "Barbie-ish" to me! 

Her make is simple, but pretty with gold sparkly eyeshadow and dark black liner with cherry red lips. 

Overall, she's such a stunning addition my holiday Barbie collection and I love everything about her!

Holiday Barbie 2015 - Happy Dolliday Countdown to Christmas!

Hi again, we are back for more Holiday Barbies!

I apologize for the delay, I had surgery on my foot 2 days ago and was not able to get as many posts done beforehand as I would've liked!

Today we're going back to the 2015 Holiday Barbie. I ended up getting both the African American version as well as the Caucasian blonde version this time around. 

Both are beautiful!  

Kmart also released their auburn-haired exclusive doll who is beautiful too. 

There were also Walmart exclusive dolls that came with this ornament. 

I think the AA version of this doll is my favorite of the three.  I think she looks so beautiful and the outfit and accessories come together so nicely on her. 

This beautiful burgandy red looks so gorgeous on her skin tone. 

As you can see, the bodice is satin and leads to a tulle skirt. 

This was the first year Mattel seemed to add a metallic (plastic) accent to their dresses.  This was isnt' too bad. 

I though this poinsettia pattern was pretty and it has a beautiful silver shimmer in the light. 

Cute shiny red open toed heels complete the look. 

She has the lovely Mbili face sculpt.

Here's a closer look at the Blonde Caucasian Barbie. 

For some reason, she reminds me of Faith Hill!

She has the Mackie face sculpt. 

Both dolls are on the standard Model Muse body. 

Their only accessories are silver chandelier earrings. 

She has honey-gold hair and gray-blue eyes.  Very pretty!

But she doesn't really look very happy.  Maybe she's stressed about how much money she spent this year on gifts for her kids, lol. I can relate! 

Overall, these two are beauties are a step above what we've seen in the recent ones I already posted about. That's one reason why I wanted to go backwards, so we could enjoy the fancier ones closer to Christmas! 

As I mentioned abouve, I just had surgery on my foot this past Wednesday, and have to be on crutches for 4-6 weeks!

I was able to take about 3 weeks off from work, which is great, so I'm trying hard to rest and relax as best I can, but also finding time for the dolls! :)
