Happy Holiday Barbie 1996 - Happy Dolliday Countdown to Christmas!

Hi everyone!
As we continue in this Happy Holiday Barbie series, today we're looking at the Victorian inspired Happy Holiday Barbie from 1996.  She's dressed in burgundy and gold and is the first one in this series that was designed in an "outside" dress ensemble.

Here's a look at the African American version of this doll and she has the Christie face mold.

Here's Barbie in her glorious gown of shimmering gold and soft burgundy velvet.  She's wearing a faux fur hat and has a faux fur collar and sleeves. She has a beautiful coat over top of a 3 ruffled gown.

Here's a closer look at the details in her dress.  Look at those buttons!

She even has a burgundy and gold decoration on her hat. :)

She has a gold ring and gold stud earrings (which you can see in her facial close up photo down below).

She also comes with faux fur muff to keep her little hands warm.

She has burgundy high heels and a matching brush.

She has the Superstar face mold and has gorgeous purple eyes with pink highlights and a deep red lip.

I definitely have soft spot for Victorian inspired clothing, so this Barbie is so cute to me!  She looks like she's ready to climb into a horse-drawn sleigh and meet her friends at the village Christmas party.  I love the burgundy and gold together as well the details of the buttons and decorative faux fur.  Her face is as sweet as can be. I love this Happy Holiday Barbie!

  1. Oh, I actually held this one in my hands! I had a friend who liked old Barbies, she let me review them on my blog. This is one of the few where I actually prefer the blonde version. I loved the coat, not so much the rustly tablecloth feeling underskirt - but the gold looks great. There's a Victorian ice skater doll in a similar dress. I prefer her striped skirt, but not the asymmetrical coat.

    2. The 'Victorian ice skater' description sounds like one of the Hallmark exclusive, holiday-themed Barbie dolls.
