Lauryce-Hearts for Hearts Doll

Yes, I got another one.  I can't resist these cute little Hearts for Hearts dolls!
Our newest one is little Lauryce, which I purchased from someone, gently used, on Ebay for about $20.

I had been looking for Lauryce for a while and I am so glad I finally got her.
What I love about her from a play standpoint is her crimped hair.  It is really hard to mess up, which is great when you have little girls that are very interested in their mother's doll collection ;)

Look at that irresistible little face!  She came with earrings, a silver bracelet and a purple hairband (which you can see on Rahel below) as well as little purple leggings, which I'm not sure are originally hers or not.  The doll in the promo photos aren't wearing them so maybe the owner threw them in as a nice accessory. :)   I removed the earrings right away as to not lose them so that's why they aren't in the photos.  I prefer these dolls without their earrings, anyway to be honest!

Lauryce appears to have the same face mold as Rahel, which I think is my favorite.  I think it's the cutest.

Her eyes are also very similar (if not exactly the same) as Suri's (Surjan) although in this photo, Lauryce's look like they have a tiny bit of an orange gold hue.

We love her. :)

Since I've already done a few reviews of these dolls already, this was more of just a photo shoot.
For more info about her back story and the other dolls in this line (which is unfortunately disconntinued now), you can find her bio and more information here

Thanks for stopping by, you lovely readers.
The weather has been gorgeous here these past few days.
It seems like we've skipped spring and gone right to summer.
It's probably just a warm spell, but I'm not complaining!
Have a good week. :)

  1. She is a lovely doll. I don't collect this size, but if I did, these Hearts 4 Hearts dolls would definitely be in my collection.

    1. Thanks Phyllis...I totally hear you about the size thing. I have started to add some American Girl dolls to my collection, but they really take up a lot of space, so I'm not sure how many I'll end up getting. The 12 inchers are so much more manageable. :) I probably won't have these forever, but for now it's fun to take them out to play with the girls and photograph and they're just so pretty. I am hoping to learn how to use my sewing machine one of these days and sew some outfits for them. :)

  2. What a lovely little face she has and yes, her hair is great crimped like that. I would love to see one in real life but alas with the horrible Spanish customs fees here it's unlikely, so hopefully you'll continue posting your lovely photos of your girls and I'll enjoy those instead!
    Hugs from Spain

  3. She's lovely - and what great hair!

The Hearts for Hearts dolls are really all so appealing - every time I see them on the shelf I'm tempted to pick up another one. It's such a shame that they're being discontinued...

    1. I know..such a shame! I would've been curious to see what other dolls they might have come up with had they continued to make more.

    2. Hello Farrah Lily, where did you get the sad news regarding the HFHG dolls getting discontinued?

    3. Hi Joanne,
I read about it on a number of different doll blogs. I haven't seen them around at Target anymore. I agree...very sad! I wish they came out with more of them and more clothing as well. :(

  4. She is very cute. I was surprised when I was in our one area Target store last week that they still had two of these dolls, it was tempting!

    1. I know what you mean, Flo. I have seen Surjan still at my local Target. I'm surprised, but they always seem to have just 1 or 2 of them when I am there. They are just so cute and I think make great little sisters for the AG gals. :)

  5. She is really lovely, I don't think you see these dolls in the UK much - or at least I haven't.

    1. Hi Serenata, I think you're right..I don't think they are very widespread or known. I really didn't know about them until this past summer when I got into doll blogs and collecting. They had already been out for a few years apparently, but I had never seen or heard of them prior. I don't think they did much advertising as well. Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Hi Joanne,
I'm guessing they just weren't as popular as they wanted them to be. I think usually when a doll line goes away it's probably due to financial reasons. It's really strange though as whenever a new one was released, they always sold out so fast and then were listed so much higher on eBay.
None of my dolls eyes have turned purple at this point and I really hope they don't! I heard it was due to some defective glue that was used to hold the paper inside the eye that had the photo of the iris.
That is pretty cool about your doll project and thanks for letting me know! :)

    3. Hi Joanne,
Wow, it's too bad you didn't work for Playmate Toys! That is a very well thought out and wonderful idea. Sure I'd buy her.
The only way I know of to buy her at this point is on eBay or Amazon (don't bother here as they are ridiculously high prices!!) Best best is to buy them used or hope you come across one in a thrift store or garage sale!
