I always feel like I let my breath out and lower my shoulders when 4:30pm hits every Friday afternoon. I am really fortunate to work from home (as an RN, yes!) and the second I switch off my computer for the day something magical happens.
The pace slows down and I feel like I am coming back to myself and letting the stress of the week fade away. We had a nice day today...NY has a bit of a cold/rainy spell happening now and it was nice to just stay inside and tend to the bits of unpacking and organizing that I still haven't gotten to around here.
I loved just listening to the rain patter on the tin roof outside. I think that sound strikes the relaxation chord in many of us and I wonder why that is...
We watched movies, played, drank tea, colored and just relaxed all day. It was heavenly! Wishing you all a peaceful, relaxing and restful remainder of your weekend. :)

Hi Farrah, that sounds like a great way to spend free time :-). The sound of rain is so calming, I fall asleep from it :-). It's like the sound of the sea, and crickets in the night, I love these sounds too. You're very lucky to be able to work from home! I wish you a peaceful Sunday.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Night Owl! I also love the sounds you mentioned and my I think my all-time favorite (on our sound machine) is the campfire one...something about that crackling noise :)
DeleteYes, I am so thankful to have that work at home option...it has made life so much less stressful and is really nice as I can pop out to see the little ones on my lunch break. Thanks for commenting! Have a great week :)

ReplyDeleteThey're so cute. I saw a carbon copy of them at Dollar General and Roses Discount store for only five dollars, I don't know if they still have them though.
