Christmas in New York City 2017

Hey again!
I wanted to pop in and wish you all a Happy New Year!
I'm hoping to do a 2017 collection round up as well as my goals for collecting in 2018 soon, but I wanted to make sure I wished you all a wonderful closing of 2017 and opening of 2018.

I love being able to press the "reset" button in January. I don't know why we think it's the only time it happens, but I really do like that feeling. ;)

I just finished writing another post on my other blog "Sitting by the Creek" of my trip to NYC with my mom and sister and if anyone is interested in reading that, it's here!

I'd love to hear how you all are spending your New Year's Eve this year, if that is something you celebrate.  To be honest, we will be home and I'll be surprised if I make it until midnight!

Anyway, be safe and "see you next year!"

xoxo Farrah

  1. Happy New Year to you too! I'm like you, I feel like it's a time to start over and just assess what needs to change. And what doesn't too!

I'll probably be like you, long asleep when the ball drops.

    1. It's only 3pm and I'll already tired, haha. It's been a long weekend of family get togethers and I'm pooped. I hope you have a wonder day and nice fresh start to the new year. :)

  2. Happy New Year to you too! We will be staying home (where it is warm) and having a lot of relatives come over for pizza, ice cream and a ton of games. My idea of fun is just hanging out with family and taking it easy. It has been a very stressful year, so we are hoping for smoother sailing in 2018.

  5. Well, when the ball dropped, we were more than halfway through the first day of January. We had a nice night with a few good friends, sitting on their back porch and eating and chatting under the stars (it's summer here). Today has been a very lazy day - hope you have a good New Years Day too and a happy New Year.

  6. Hi Farrah,
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to a fabulous new year ahead. :)

We stayed home too and watched the fireworks on the tele then yawned all the way to our bed when it was over. Getting too old to enjoy staying up till midnight. LOL!Hugs,

    1. Lol! I probably could've made it, but everyone else was going to bed, so it felt pointless to stay up. :) Glad you had a nice night and hoping for a wonderful year for you as well!

  7. Happy New Year Farrah, I hope 2018 is a great one for you and your family.
We were in bed before midnight on New Year's Eve but then I was still awake for hours as my son sent me Wasapp messages from the UK and then the fireworks that were going off which then set Lucy our Miniature Pinscher off barking! Oh well! I'm not a great one for late nights to be honest and we had to get up at 6.30am on NY's day to take my mum and brother to the airport for their flight back to the UK :(
I look forward to seeing your dolly update soon :)
    Big hugs Sharon xx

    1. I'm sorry to hear you had such an early morning on New Year's day! So nice that you were able to visit with family, though, as I'm sure it's hard to be away sometimes. (But I'm sure the weather in Spain makes up for it!)
Thank you for your kind comment, as always! xx
