Hi everyone! Is your June flying by like mine?? I can't really believe it's halfway over already.
(Get used to that, I say it all summer long!)
Today I'm going to do something a little different as this is the first time I've ever been "tagged" by a fellow blogger (the lovely beastsbelle over at Never Grow Up) to do a Q and A about some of my favorite dolls and dolls that are on my wishlist.
So here I go!
The tag is to:
1. List 3 favorite dolls from the ones you got last year.
2. List 3 dolls currently on your wishlist.
3. Tag 5 people to do the same thing! (Anyone with a home on the web, not just bloggers, can be tagged!)
Three Favorite Dolls that I Got Last Year:
#1. "The Sun"
This past year is actually the first year I have started collecting dolls and I would have to say my favorite doll I've purchased so far is "The Sun" by Tonnerdoll. She stands 16 inches tall and is part of the Re-imagination line. She is meant to represent Juliet from the classic Shakespeare play. I hope to do a full review of her soon. I just love her. The camera loves her too!
#2.
American Girl Samantha Parkington.
I haven't reviewed her yet either, but I was fortunate to purchase her this spring with part of our tax refund! Samantha was my favorite AG growing up. I think she is such a beautiful doll. Her hair is amazing and her eyes are such a pretty soft brown. Her little face has charmed me already! I can barely keep Pumpkin Pie's hands off of her. ;)
Now onto 3 dolls that are on my wishlist.
My wishlist is kind of out of control, so I narrowed it down to some of the pricier ones that I am currently drooling over.
#1.
Little Darling doll by Diana Effner.
I mean, come on, is there a cuter doll out there? I especially fell in love with this little one I found on Flickr!
#2.
Alyce from the Re-imagination line by Tonner Doll (Alice in Wonderland)
I think she's stunning and just how I would picture an older version of Alice to look like. I love the details of her dress and I just think she's beautiful.
#3.
Han Solo by Hot Toys.
I'm a Star Wars geek. Enough said. :)
So there you have it! Thanks again, beastsbelle for the great tag.
I hereby tag the following fellow bloggers/readers to do this "World Doll Tag" if you are interested and have time. I'd love to know your favorite dolls as well as the ones on your wishlist!

If you don't have time, I totally get it. If I didn't tag you, feel free to still leave your answers in the comments below or let me know if you did a post on your own blog.
Hope you all have a great Thursday and talk to you all soon. I'm working on getting another review up, it's just been a really busy month (both girls birthdays!!) so you know how it goes. :)

Limited Edition Frozen Anna and Kristoff
(At this moment I can only find a photo of Anna, and I'm too lazy to go take a picture now!)
(At this moment I can only find a photo of Anna, and I'm too lazy to go take a picture now!)
I woke up at 330 am to order these. My heart was pounding. I was only going to get Kristoff, but after I successfully got him, I tried for Anna and couldn't believe it when I got them both. What a rush...I felt so thankful! Anna is my favorite Disney Princess and I am just in love with the voice of Jonathan Goff who plays Kristoff so there you have it. Win win! I am also hoping to do a review of these. I most likely will take them out of the box as you know I love to photograph my dolls! :)

Great answers! :D Your dolls are stunning. Love your wishlist dolls, too. I love Dianna Effner's Little Darlings dolls. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Thank you, beastsbelle., you too!
DeleteAn interesting blog...and thank you for tagging me Farrah Lily.
ReplyDeleteI will certainly do this and let you know as soon as I have......I won't do it now as I'm just going to sew and I need to kickstart myself this morning!!!!
Your doll called The Sun is just beautiful, she reminds me of Ellowynne Wilde but more grown up....and I have to say it, more beautiful! She is more in proportion than Ell, and just gorgeous colouring and hair.
I do like some of the AG dolls faces, but I struggle with their cloth bodies and big shoulders, which is a shame because there are so many patterns out there for them! And they have the cutest little knees.....I have a thing about dolly knees!
And what can I say, I'm not surprised you're hankering after a Little Darling, I love mine to bits and despite their posing limitations, I just love to look at their sweet faces.
Big hugs Sharon in Spain xx
Yes, The Sun definitely has a strong resemblance to Ellowynne. Her sculpt is a "Cinderella" sculpt and I think it is the prettiest one as it is very soft and feminine. I actually came across her while trying to find a basic Cinderella Tonner and when I wasn't able to win that auction, I bought her on a whim (to curb my disappointment-lol) and just fell in love with her coloring and costume when she got here.
DeleteAs for AG, I only recently became interested in actually owning a doll, to be honest. I loved the books and the characters quite a bit growing up as well as all of their amazing accessories (back when the Pleasant Company owned them and they were so well made and detailed) and only through other people's blogs and photography did they really start to grow on me as far as wanting to actually own one!
As for the Little Darlings...well, your blog sort of got me hooked on them again. ;) They are just so sweet and have such a childlike beauty and innocence. I love looking at photos of your LDs and all the cute outfits you've made for them. :)
Cool, I'm in! I will have to think about this for a little bit, but will post either later today or tomorrow. Fun!
ReplyDeleteSamantha was my very first AG doll many many years ago so I totally get the attraction.
Yay! It's funny...when my (now 6 year old) Pumpkin Pie first discovered American Girl when she saw some magazines that came to our house, she immediately was drawn to Samantha as well and she told me if she could ever get one, that is the one she wants. There is something about that doll...:) I have started to borrow some of the books from the library and have been reading them to her at night. She's a perfect mix of girl and tomboy, I think and that's why I liked her so much!
DeleteAwesome post Farrah!!! Also I've fallen in love with 'The Sun'!!! She's incredible!!!!! Amazing!, fantastic, fabulous, I can't describe it!!!!! I think I may need her >.<

Thank you so much, Lydia! :) Isn't she so pretty! I can't believe I haven't reviewed her yet, but I will...her outfit is so good and she comes with a little dagger! Wait until you see the shoes, lol. xo
DeleteWhat are your 3 favorite dolls that you have?
Hello Farrah Lily,
ReplyDeleteThose are 3 fantastic dolls. the Sun is particularly enchanting!
Big hug,
Giac
Thank you, Giac...I agree, what a beauty! :) Big hugs back
DeleteHi Farrah, those are wonderful girls! I can't wait to see your review of the Sun, she's stunning!
ReplyDeleteThanks billa! I know, I just love that Cinderella face by Tonner! :)
DeleteI love reading lists like these, and this is no exception! And "The Sun" is gorgeous! I'm looking forward to seeing more of her.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the tag, I'm a little behind, so it'll take me a couple of days, but I'm looking forward to putting it together! :)
Thanks, jSarie! It's ok, if you're behind...I am sooo behind always with posting and reviews...just not enough time in the day sometimes! I am looking forward to reading yours when you get it up. :)
DeleteHello from Spain. I really like your answers, this tag is very interesting. I love the American dolls. We keep in touch
ReplyDeleteThanks, All4 Barbie :):)
DeleteI love the way Samantha looks with the flowers around her! Sun is very pretty as well as Anna. :)
ReplyDeleteHi SariiBellexoxo, thank you!! :)
DeleteHaha, the 3 dolls that you chose are so different in style, but all lovely. I might not be a big fan of Tonner toys, but hey - the black-haired one is stunning!
ReplyDeleteI totally understand you adding Han on your wishlist. Hope you'll get him soon. I'll be looking forward to reading a review :)
It's been ages since I visited your blog and blogs of my other dolly friends. It's high time to change it :P
Thanks for visiting again, Stary_Zgred! Han won't be coming home with me for a while, but hopefully someday and I'll be sure to do a review when that happens. :)
DeleteGood find on The Sun doll! I have two Cinderella-face Tonner dolls, and I'm hoping to add another one soon, but yours is really special!
