Happy Valentine's Day to my fellow doll bloggers!
What better day to share with you all some photos of one of my favorite Ever After High dolls, C.A. Cupid!
I took a few photos of her in her box and right after I took her out so I could remember what she looked like before we lost accessories and her hair got wrecked. #reallife
I just found out that her initials stand for Chariclo Arganthone. :)
So, yeah...I'm just going to stop right here and do a big sigh because this is why I first fell in love with Ever After High. Look at this design and packaging!!
Sadly, the quality of EAH has gone way down so I have pretty much finished collecting EAH for now.
I really love the way they used to design these doll boxes.
On the back of the box there are some additional details about her personality (which little kids won't read, but older may find interesting).
I seriously did not want to take this doll out of her box because I liked her so much the way she was, but the girls were pressuring me. We lost the little black ring within 5 minutes so eventually I ended up getting a second doll to keep in the box (for me)!
She's such a beautiful doll and I'm so happy to have her in my collection! I really need to dig her out of the storage bin she's been hiding in and give her a proper makeover and place on the shelf soon.
I really hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day.
I am a huge fan of self-love and finding happiness and joy from within yourself so Valentine's Day has always annoyed me a teeny, tiny bit, even when I've had someone to celebrate with.
My husband and I have always felt it to be a bit forced and cheesy, so we didn't used to really celebrate it in the past.
Now that we have the girls, though, they just eat it up and love making cards and celebrating with us, so it's much more fun now. ;)
I hope you all have a great rest of your week!

C.A. Cupid is SO pretty! I absolutely love her hair! *_* It's a shame they changed the packaging - I feel like a lot of companies aren't making as nice of packaging these days. :/ Oh well... Happy Valentine's Day! <3
ReplyDeleteI totally agree! I feel like this is happening across the board with so many companies as well. I wonder why? It's funny how when they first come out with a line, the dolls are so detailed and higher quality, but over time (as they seem to be making a ton of money off of them) they lose that. I guess it all comes down to money, sadly.
DeleteHi Kristina,
ReplyDeleteI love the little episodes, too! That simpler animation style is so much better to me than the CG style they now use for Monster High. Good luck on collecting more of these dolls! I am going to have a giveaway soon of Getting Fairest Briar, so stay tuned! :)
Happy Valentine's Day to you as well. :)
Happy Valentine's Day! She's really cute. I've heard a lot of complaints about the changes made in this line. Mattel is a shell of it's former self. :(
ReplyDeleteYup, you're totally right, Flo! They took a great line like Ever After High and made it cheaper and more geared towards kids. I get that it's a doll company and geared towards that age group, but it doesn't make it any less disappointing. :(
DeleteI love your profile pic, by the way! :)
DeleteThanks! I was long overdue for a new one.
DeleteHappy Valentine's Day to you. Cupid is a very cute doll. I love all the little details.
ReplyDeleteSame to you, Sam...I hope you had a nice day. :) I agree about the details, they are easy to loose so probably not ideal for a little kid, but fun for us grown-ups. :)
DeleteHappy belated Valentine's day! I don't really care about Valentine's day either, but I guess that with kids it has to be different. I love your pictures, by the way
ReplyDeleteThanks, MC! Yeah, kids make the holiday a lot more fun. It's a good thing since they can also suck the life out of your relationship at the same time, hahaha. ;)
DeleteHappy belated Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Muff..you too!
DeleteMissed this post, so here's a belated Valentine's to you! Your little cupid is very pretty in pink. :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
